Gyproc FireStrip Intumescent Gap Sealer 3600 x 25 x 3mm (L x W x T), Box of 5 is a soft extruded gap sealer which helps maintain fire resistance and forms part of the deflection detail in Gypwall, Shaftwall and Firewall systems. When exposed to flames and heat, Gyproc FireStrip undergoes controlled expansion or intumescence reacting to form a carbonised foam. This char resists the passage of smoke and flames and helps to insulate the metal channel beneath. It is simply applied by hand before fixing the light gauge metal channel or head plate to the soffit.
