What is causing a stir in Exeter?

The city of Exeter rejoiced when they heard of a new arrival to their city for 2018, but what could have created such a joyous reaction.

Was it the return of one of its many celebrities who grew up in the city such as the creator of Harry Potter J. K. Rowling or Coldplay’s Chris Martin? Oh no this addition has come from much further afield, Sweden in fact. Yes… the new addition which has everyone excited is the famous Swedish retail furniture store.

They provide a range of flat pack home furnishing products at an affordable cost combining function, quality, design and value – always with sustainability in mind. Their aim is to help more people live a better life at home.

Our great team at Minster had the pleasure of supplying the build with Xtratherm PIR insulation, to Massey Cladding Solutions who are constructing the build.

“We greatly rely on the support from our distributors which includes the great team at Minster Bristol whose knowledge and expertise ensure we use the best products for the job. The team prides themselves on providing the best service which is clear through our growing relationship with the team. We’re all busy, but we can all agree that it is important to have a laugh along the way! The project in Exeter has been a great challenge which we were only too pleased to be involved with.” Massey Cladding Solutions – Bristol

This was the highest value singular order (300k) the branch had ever been involved with in their 30 years of insulation distribution. This is a fantastic opportunity for the branch as this is a much bigger project than they are used to.

It is common knowledge that the PIR insulation market has been affected since the factory fire back in February 2017 resulting in a key chemical needed for the production of PIR being in short supply. Thanks to the quick thinking of our great Minster team we were able to reduce the impact of this to our business and our customers as much as possible allowing our service of PIR insulation board to continue as normal at present.

The city of Exeter has been very excited for the furniture stores arrival. Cathi of Minster Bristol has family based in the Exeter area who currently actively travel to Bristol (a 1 hour 30 minute journey) to visit the closest existing store!! It cannot seem to open soon enough however Exeter residents will have to wait until the beginning of the 2018 summer season for their doors to open for the first time.
